Phil Hamacher studied law at the WWU in Münster, specializing in tax law. Even before beginning his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Wuppertal, he became part of the ATN team. During this period, Mr. Hamacher also worked at the Wuppertal-Elberfeld tax office, among other assignments, where he gained insight into the practical operations of the tax administration. Since 2021, Mr. Hamacher has been admitted to the bar and has been working at our law firm.
New decrees, guidelines, and legislative amendments continuously shape insolvency and tax law, making these fields subject to constant change. In order to provide optimal support to his clients, Mr. Hamacher stays informed about developments in legislation and case law. In addition, he regularly publishes professional articles in legal journals and gives lectures on various insolvency law topics. A particular focus of his previous publications has been the legal treatment of crypto assets in insolvency proceedings and the rights of creditors in the insolvency of a crypto custodian.
